A friend recently asked me to help her prepare for an upcoming interview with a school board. As I looked through my professional portfolio, I found several lists of questions that I have compiled after each interview that I have been to (and there have been many!) I thought this could make a great blog series! Starting this week, and until the end of March, every Sunday, I will post some of the most commonly asked questions when interviewed for a teaching position, in French or in English. With each interview, I have been asked between 10-12 questions. These questions change with time, but are basically the same every year.
Since I’ve only interviewed with Catholic school boards, some questions revolve around religious values. However, if you interview for the public school boards, I’m sure you can still learn something from these questions as well. I have also chosen not to include answers to all questions, as a lot of them can be very subjective. With common sense, confidence and personality, you’ll be sure to find the right answer for you! Make sure to follow my blog so you don’t miss out on this awesome 6-part series!
